We are pleased to announce that on June 7, 2024, our researcher Kazuki Maeda participated as a speaker in the “FIT Lecture,” a lecture series for students by experts and scholars held at Kobe University Secondary School (5-11-1 Sumiyoshi Yamate, Higashinada Ward, Kobe City).

About “FIT Lecture”

Kobe University Secondary School has been designated as a “Super Science High School (SSH)” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2020. The school promotes the research, development, and dissemination of advanced educational programs. As part of these efforts, they conduct the “Future Innovator Training (FIT)” to foster various qualities such as advanced science and mathematics education, autonomy, internationality, and cooperation. The “FIT Lecture” series, part of this program, features talks by experts and scholars active in various fields such as science and technology, sustainable development, and health promotion, aimed at students.

Maeda’s lecture aimed to let students experience the significance and allure of scientific research through a talk on “Achieving a Sustainable Society Using Extremophilic Microorganism Galdieria.” He conveyed the appeal of Galdieria, a type of microalgae, and introduced the excitement of conducting research at a venture company, drawing on his own experiences.
