On October 9, 2020, our company was selected for the ‘2020 Research and Development-Type Startup Support Program / Commercialization Support for Seed-Stage Research and Development-Type Startups’ by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (referred to as ‘NEDO’ hereafter).

This program aims to facilitate investment and support activities by venture capitalists and seed accelerators (referred to as ‘VCs, etc.’) for seed-stage research and development-type startups (referred to as ‘STS’ or ‘Seed-stage Technology-based Startups’). The goal is to provide business support for STS by leveraging their expertise and support functions.

Specifically, the program consists of two stages: certification of VCs, etc., and selection of STS. A letter of intent for investment (or a report of investment already made) from VCs, etc., certified by NEDO, is required as a condition for grant application.

Our company has been certified as a VC by Miyako Capital Co., Ltd., and the project ‘Commercialization of a High-Performance Precious Metal Adsorbent Using Acidic Hot Spring Red Algae’ has been adopted as a subsidized project.
